Kaiyo is a very smart girl, but unfortunately wasn't taught the necessary life skills to give her the best start to life. She is looking for an adult only home and would not be for the first time dog owner. She will give warning growls when she is fearful or unsure of a situation and has nipped when her requests are not listen to. Obedience training with a positive reinforcement trainer will be important in her progress. The staff at the Sunshine Coast SPCA will be happy to give you recommendations for an AnimalKind accredited trainer in your area. Kaiyo can be jumpy and mouthy and lacks bite inhibition. Once Kaiyo reaches the potential we know she has, she would excel in any dog sport; from agility to nose work. This gal is one smart cookie and just needs to find the right home to take her to her full potential.
